Pup Plaza’s Canine Ambassadors

Pup Plaza Canine Ambassador dogs are owned by our SVPP staff and volunteers and have had experience in participating in programs to include assisted therapy programs as well as youth programs. These dogs love humans and are very gentle, patient and stellar representatives of their species.

Is your dog a candidate for our Pup Plaza Canine Ambassador team?

We are recruiting special pooches who are comfortable with new people and children in a variety of settings. If this describes your dog, please contact us (info@svpetproject.org) so we can discuss further!

Tilly

Tilly is a 7-year-old Bulldog/Staffy mix who lives with her sister, Primrose. Tilly's favorite activities are snoozing and sitting on the front porch greeting everyone who walks by in her Willow Glen neighborhood.

Primrose

Primrose is a 4 year old Staffy/Boston Terrier mix (we think!). Primrose became a loved foster dog after the San Jose shelter reached out to SVPP for help with this little girl who was very sick and underweight. Today, Primrose is happy and healthy and loves learning new tricks to show her family!

Mama

Mama is a super sweet long haired chihuahua, approximately 9 years old, and 8 lbs. of pure joy. She was pregnant and confiscated from a cruelty case in a pet hoarder's home. SVPP rescued her and placed her in an experienced foster home where she was named Cardamom. She became a loving mom of four adorable puppies that were named after spices: Ginger, Nutmeg, Cinnamon, and Anise. "Mama" came to be her name. She is mellow and friendly with people and all dogs, large and small. Once she is comfortable with people, she will promptly roll on her back for a belly rub every opportunity she gets. She loves to eat, watch people, take naps, sunbathe, go for walks, and follow around her big canine brother, Watson.

Bandit

Bandit is a 10 year old chihuahua mix. He was originally rescued from the Sacramento SPCA.

Bandit loves playing fetch especially if he’s at the beach! He also enjoys sun bathing and begging for treats.

gypsy

Retired from service

Gypsy is an 11-year-old piebald doxie. She doesn’t realize she is a dog. She adores children and everyone’s attention. She loves playing fetch with tennis balls. She loves to cuddle. Her favorite snack is cheese. Her best friends include a hamster, bunny, and guinea pig. She loves her human 8-year-old brother and gets excited when she gets to pick him up after school. Her birthday is October 18. She’s a libra. She is still looking for Mr. Right but loves being a single lady. She’s never met a human she hasn’t liked…except the mailman.

Her biggest fears are bubble wrap, balloons popping, and fireworks. She’s got a heart of gold and a gentle sweet soul.

Chloe Clementine (aka CEce)

Retired from service

CeCe is 7 years old and is a mixed breed. We did her DNA and can you guess what breeds she is? If you guessed Italian Greyhound, Bichon Frise and Chihuahua, you are correct!

Cece adores everyone, gives kisses non stop, loves tummy rubs and her lambie toy. Chloe is extra special because she is diabetic which means she gets insulin shots twice a day to make her feel good.
