Your Doga instructor, Nancy, will guide you and your pup through a 60-minute yoga practice and provide moments throughout the class for you to bond, reward, and breathe with your dog.
Nancy’s yoga journey, beginning in 1998, has been a path of exploration and learning. As a former Manager at Cisco and Apple, she has experienced the fast pace of Silicon Valley. The profoundly nourishing and grounding effects of yoga are what keep her coming back to her mat again and again.
Nancy completed a 200-hour certification in November of 2020 through the Joy of Yoga Teacher Training Program at BreatheTogether Yoga, which enabled her to obtain a Registered Yoga Alliance Certification (RYT). She will complete the 500-hour certification this year in 2022.
Nancy’s classes are best described as accessible, joyful, and grounding.
As a dog Mom of two Golden Retrievers and a cat Mom of two rescue cats, Nancy is a huge animal advocate. Nancy and her husband are passionate about spending as much time with their animals as possible.
You will be encouraged to share your energy with your dog and explore the natural bond that exists between you and your canine best friend. Doga will provide you an opportunity to learn from your dog how to be in the present and have fun, while our dogs may pick up the calm and focus of our practice, eventually becoming more relaxed and comfortable with sharing a space with others.
Weather permitting, Doga will take place outdoors. If the temperature is too warm we will move our yoga practice indoors.
A minimum of two participants is required to hold the class.
